Salary Description: 55k - 70k/year

Qualifications

Standard Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred (although industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • Experience in corrugated or packaging sales preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales management software and tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Must have a valid driver's license; driver background check must show a record of sustained safe driving

Responsibilities

As an Outside Sales Account Executive at Viking Industries, you will be a crucial component of our sales force, responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and promoting our top-quality packaging solutions. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving individual and team sales targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Customer Engagement and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, addressing their packaging needs and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Actively prospect for new business opportunities within the designated territory.

Sales Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (customer service, production, shipping, warehousing, and accounting) to ensure a seamless customer experience from order to delivery.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute insights for continuous improvement.

Product Knowledge and Industry Insight:

  • Stay informed about corrugated industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Utilize product knowledge to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.
  • Share market insights with the Sales Manager and team to contribute to product and service enhancements.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in sales training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to set individual performance goals and development plans.
